Good morning. I was running a patch through an X-Caliber 6.5 PRC barrel. I’m using patches that are a little bigger than the others I’ve been using. Going from the action forward, about the midway point the barrel gets tighter. I grabbed my 6.5 Creedmoor with a Shaw barrel and the patches go through with no problem.

This is my first X-Caliber barrel, but I’ve never had this happen with with any other rifle I’ve had. Is this normal?

Friend had a bartlien or rock barrel recently that had a tight spot. It would cause a carbon ring after 100rds or so and make pressure spike. I would call x caliber and see what they say.

I’ll give them a call on Monday.
