I don't have beer with anything. My grits get butter and salt, btw.

    What about shrimp?

See, for some reason, I just never acquired the taste for grits. But the restaurant the wife and I have been frequenting, I told the chef that, and she offered me to try hers, and told me if I didn't like them, there would be no charge for them. I'm going to take her up on her offer one day.

    Mornin' y'all!

Son in law brought the big skid steer and grinder yesterday afternoon to clean up the trees along the road and fenceline. Should have taken a picture, that thing is a beast! Eats trees like they're twigs!

Settled on pork butts, ribs and chicken on the smoker for America's birthday. Need to split some pecan for the cook.

Avvidclif I hope you're feeling better! If you get out of there give me a call for directions and come eat some 'Q' with the family.

I appreciate the invite and was looking forward to it but Mon is the earliest. I will take a rain check though...

I prefer only a little butter with some salt and pepper. Then some crispy bacon and crumble that into my grits. Those are good breakfast grits.

Shrimp and grits is okay. Even better if the shrimp are blackened or something. That was common in the southeast growing up but I find those two foods are better separate.
