    ronbwolf; All,

Personally, I would like the statue OUT of the grasp of the "nutty"/leftist Dallas city government ASAP & PERMANENTLY INSTALLED in front of THE TEXAS RANGER MUSEUM in Waco.

The problem is in the schools... where this stuff is being force fed to your kids.
Part of the problem are the public schools. But, I will also add it's also a problem of the parents as well. Too many are stepping out and lettingh others have undue influence upon their children. Whether that be bad influences of bad kids leading them to drugs, alcohol and sex and other bad things, to very liberal and socialist progressive teachers, that teach them utter nonsense. Parents HAVE to take an active role in the education of their children. Too many parents are wanting to be their children's best friends. That is totally wrong. A parent's role is to be a parent, and to sometimes make the difficult and many times unpopular decisions in regards to what is best for the child, and not what the child wants.

Both my nieces are honor students, and both have and still attend public school. Trust me, they ain't liberal socialist snowflakes! My brother and his wife both work full-time, and very demanding jobs, but still take a very actice role in the raising of those two girls. My elder niece startd at Texas A&M last fall, and graduated second in her class, and had already gotter her associates degree before finishing high school. the younger niece, starts her senior year this fall, and will most assuredly be in the top ten of her class.

So IMO, no, the schools are not entirely the problem. I think it starts at home.

Blame on the schools all you want. Dallas, like most major cities in Texas, is operationally run by the City Manager. Most of those in Texas are imports, and are hired specifically because they align with the mayor and council’s political persuasion.

This dirty little trick allows mayors and councils to pass the buck for all sorts of accountability.

I’d like to see the city manager position require voter approval at every election.

Oh, definitely, but it is what they are being taught that is the direct problem, and that is strongly influenced by where and by whom it is being directed, and personally, I don't want my kids in that train wreck.

The Texas Rangers were part of some of the most important events of Texas history such as stopping the assassination of presidents William Howard Taft and criminal cases such as gunfighter John Wesley Hardin, bank robber Sam Bass, and the outlaws Bonnie and Clyde.

Why not just take the 'offending' ranger's name off the statue and dedicate it to all Texas Rangers? Its not like anyone would look at the statue and say, "Hey! Thats Robert the Racist Ranger!" They would just see a proud cowboy lawman.

Who else fought the Comanches on behalf of the Texas settlers? That kinda makes social media attacks a very bad joke.

I agree. But as a parent, it's their responsibility to counter the BS being taught to their children. My brother has had several run-ins with several teachers over the crap they were teaching his girls. He ain't shy about voicing his opinions either.

The schools and the teachers may be pushing the crap, but the parents are allowing it to happen and to continue to happen, and not speaking up against it.

    Rhino,

Fwiw, my adopted son, Nathan Paul, turned ONE YO on 21MAY20 & I'm already thinking of WHICH private pre-kindergarten, kindergarten & private school that he will attend. = I want NO part of Nathan Paul attending and/or being CONTAMINATED with the LEFTIST FOOLISHNESS that the public schools now peddle.
(IF that means that he is home-schooled until my old boarding school will enroll him, so be it.)

Why is it that only what democraps or blacks think is offensive is torn down. Poor General Lee being taken down in VA pretty soon it will be Jim Bowie removed from statues or pictures at the Alamo because he owned slaves and probably a lot more that was at that battle. I am just pissed that when a lib thinks it offensive it is removed. When a conservative thinks something like abortion is offensive we are told to go pound sand. We have to start saying no to this and start using conservative judges instead of libtards judges.

    Antares,

Perhaps it's time to buy 1-way tickets OUT of the USA for these HATERS.

Back in the OLD FRONTIER DAYS our Rangers often banished people OUT OF TEXAS & told them that they would return only "on pain of death".

I get so freakin tired of this BS! I am sick of people deleting history. Yes it may be offensive, but that is how the USA grew up through time. You can't erase history, as the saying goes, but they damn sure are doing it. I try not to be racist, but it's hard when every damn corrupted politician bends over backwards to kiss every one's arzz and try to make everyone happy. It doesn't matter because you will never make EVERYONE happy. When do we get a say in it. I call that discrimination! We need a say in this crap!

Question: Why aren't more people infuriated by all this statue destruction? Do they not understand the consequences of destroying our culture, heritage, and history?

This action is not being done to make a few people among the minorities feel more welcome. This is being done to change our culture and make it easier to control.
