Not much going on today with protests. There are a few small groups out in downtown, nothing major. We were told to show restraint when dealing with protesters that throw objects at us. I took that to mean don't use our batons and push the crowd back like we did the other night and the Chief doesn't want us to antagonize them.

I doubt if much happens between now and the day of the funeral, but the citizens are on their own when it comes to protecting yourself or your property. The chiefs really don't want us engaging with future protestors for fear of inciting more violence and making the dept look bad. Chief Acevedo recognizes that he's the medias darling right now and doesn't want anything to remotely ruin his time in the spotlight.

Government exist to protect life, liberty and property.
If it fails in any of this we should just stop paying taxes. That’s the only purpose for taxes anyways. If I am on my own then I will just do what is necessary.

    Somewhere in Texas!
I always considered myself a musical genius but sadly the rest of the worlds palate just hasn't matured to the proper point yet to recognize my genius.
OHHH!, so it is you who is the kazoo genius!

LOL, sorry candcallen, I could not resist that poke. As much "fun" as I poke at cancallen, I respect his honest expression and his fortitude to stick to his ideals. I may not always agree with him, but I can respect his forthright attitude.

At least in Texas we aren't trying to defund the police like NYC or reduce their budget 150 or 250 million like was suggested in LA. I even here vietcong jane fonda is calling for the Police and Secret Service to be defunded. I am sorry but it hurts me to see all this crap going on in this country. We are no better right now than a third world country. Not so much for me I will be gone, but what about our kids and grandchildren having to live in a country like this and being taught that this is way the way of the future. Every day is a new revelation the people doing it is immune to any prosecution wow this just isn't right.
