Frogs' Legs - had them only once since I moved to TX and they were frozen. I'd like to get some fresh ones, maybe will do now that the weather is warmer but am a bit leery of roaming around a lake shore or pond edge at night where alligators supposedly thrive.

I used to buy live frogs in Chinatown. Kept them in clean water for at least a few days before the coup de grâce (took them out of the misery of living in a trash can full of dirty water in C-town) and preparing them.

Used to go gigging around the pond banks at Grandparents house. We’d have fried frog legs and taters for breakfast.

    They eat dog shit.
    You can have the snails.
Makes them taste even better. Live a little adventurously when it comes to what you eat. Then have a few stiff shots of something 90 proof or better. Speaking of which, I think it may be time for some Mellow Corn, picked up a bottle today, have not imbibed this stuff in a long time.

    Out here by the lake!
Most retail frog legs are from some turd world shit hole like China or Bangladesh. I use to catch them when I was younger. Ate plenty of escargot until I moved into this house. We use to have a snail season when they crawled all over the house.
