    Interesting... wonder if they’re anywhere close to being equivalent to the “rubber bullets” I hear about on the news?

    The IDF has lots of experience dealing with thugs and miscreants. They shoot (.22) them below the waist - basically it looks like sniper target practice with live targets. (Video: 3-1/4 min):

    I figured that the "rubber bullets" everyone is talking about are actually pepper balls out of a paintball gun.

    The only people I feel at all sorry for are the ones (probably very few) who come out with the intent to peacefully petition, get caught in a brewing riot, and are unable to leave despite legitimately trying to leave and not participating in violence, but get caught in the crossfire. It's a pretty crappy situation for them. The rest can suck tear gas.
