In Australia there is a popular beer called XXXX or 4 x beer.If I can't spell it, I won't drink it.
Story goes the brewers got so drunk on the first batch they forgot how to spell BEER hence the 4 x's

Says it has the flavor of a wheat beer, brewed with native Texas dewberries. I like it a lot.Shiner Weiss 'N Easy you say?
Going to have to try that. I like Shiner and I love a good Weiss bier.

Ha! Wheat beer! My drinking buddy discovered that he was allergic to wheat beer (emergency room, cramps, difficulty breathing) in 1968 when we shared a 6 pack of Buckhorn.
Schlitz Malt Liquor Tall Boys.............just typing it gave me a buzz.Hamms, Old Style, Strohs & Schlitz were all beers of my youth. Have an Old Style neon. I'm with you on Aheuser-Bush & the headache. Bud was my first really sick beer. We were over at a cousins Bar B Que and snagged a hot case out of the garage. Made our way into the corn field and killed them. We were so sick drunk & busted! Aint drank a bud since!
The funny thing my mom's mom drank Schiltz & we as kids got to drink them too over @ grandma's. After my grandfather died grandma stay @ our house until my dad couldn't take it anymore. I was in junior high & I went to staty with grandma(it was the next street over from my parents). While staying there my buddies would come over & we partied with grandma. She never drove so she would call the liquor store & they would deliver. Grandma must have been on some pills as she would get blotto! She had this death chair that rocked reclined & swiveled. It was hard to sit in sober. She took a coupleof good spills out of it getting pretty bruised up & that ended party @ grandma's. Granny taught me about schnapps & whisky with Schlitz.
Just reading it gave me the dry heaves!Schlitz Malt Liquor Tall Boys.............just typing it gave me a buzz.
Wash your mouth out with soap and go to your room.Oh also when I was in the Air Force in Everett Wa. Olympia was also a good beer.
The 70's were a long time ago. I think I make have had some heaves too.Just reading it gave me the dry heaves!

Never drank them but I remember them.Anybody remember Mickeys???
Cheap and nasty!Anybody remember Mickeys???
Yeah it its Malt Liquor. Olde English 800 was more popular where I grew up. Mickey's was brewed by G. Heileman Brewing Company, who made Old Style. Up until I moved here Old Style was what I drank the most. Was it malt liquor or beer? I kinda' remember it being malt liquor.
