I just looked and all retail outlets, OUT OF STOCK, NO BACK ORDER.
I did not know about it.

I think I have enough for a while but I need to look?

    Thanks for the 'heads-up'.

Trainer Hale in Marion, east of San Antonio sells lots of shotgun reloading supplies.
Unique powder is very popular for reloading 20 gauge and 28 gauge shot shells.
Shotgunners usually buy 8 pound jugs, but Vern may have smaller quantities.

Too bad you're not closer to the Houston/Conroe area. I've got an unopened pound of Unique and no plans to use it. (Lots of other powders I like better.). Got an unopened pound of 760 and one of 748 as well. No, I'm not going through the hassle of trying to ship hazmat.

i appreciate it guys but i'm not close enough and the hazmat etc is too much hassle. i'd like to get 6-8 lbs and i'm sure i'll find it eventually. the 500 S&W and 45 colt and 44s eat a lot of unique. i still have 3 lbs so i'm not panicking. yet!

There are better options for full power 500 and 44 Magnum loads.

I use Unique for many handguns but it lacks the ability for full power loads in Magnum cases.

I assume you know this but just wanted to throw it out there.

There may be alternatives that are more readily available.

I have an unopened jug I could turn loose of. Let me know if you get to the Dallas area.

Bull's Eye and Blue Dot are readily available and work really well in reduced power 357 and 44 Magnum. For full power I use H110, also readily available.

Are alliant powders just not as popular as other mfgers in Texas?
I used to reload handgun calibers using Unique and Green Dot. I had to move over to Hodgdon (since they’re more often in stock locally).
