There is 1 reason to lose consciousness when being choked - you are not getting enough oxygen to your brain.

Either your airway is cut off & you eventually pass out due to lack of oxygen to the lungs and then the brain, you can breath but your carotid arteries are blocked limiting blood and therefore oxygen from the lungs to the brain, or a combo of both.

Some people can adapt and live with both carotid arteries closed off by plaques. Blood gets to their brain through the vertebral arteries.

Heart issues are triggered by the airway being cutoff and a lack of oxygen in the blood going to the heart muscle, by a sympathetic (adrenaline) surge increasing oxygen demand on the heart which the heart can no longer meet, or a combo of both.

The tox report is not published yet, no it doesn't take weeks to do. Big bucks gonna be spent to make the cop guilty of murder. I like the Boerne vid - she earned what she got. Moral of the story - you fight with a cop, you gonna get hurt. Why don't they learn? Yea, I already know the answer.

So are you saying that Floyd got what he deserved in this case?

The officer's incident report said he resisted arrest, yet none of the videos that have surfaced so far, (even the officer's body-cams) seem to support that.

Does anybody have anything more recent than just the complaint, which can be found here?
I have checked the net for the 'medical examiner's report, medical examiner's interim report, medical examiner's preliminary report', relative to Mr. Floyd's death, only to come up blank except for what is seen in the complaint or comments about the report based upon the complaint.

One thing I wonder about is why they specifically mention that there is no evidence of traumatic asphyxia as the cause of death. From what I understand that would not be caused by compression of the neck but would result from a severe traumatic injury to the thoracic region that forces spent venous blood back up into the head and or prevents spent venous blood from leaving g the head. Was there trauma to Mr. Floyd's chest? Have not heard of any yet but I easily could have missed reports of it with all the stuff out there.

Not unexpected. I’m amazed at how quickly the family had access to the body to complete an independent autopsy. When my mother passed, it still took a week for just a paper autopsy to be performed.

Just speculating, but maybe if they allowed an independent autopsy that maybe it might settle down some of the riots?

Please don’t generalize all cops. 99.99% of police officers are pissed off this happened. Unfortunately all it takes is the action of 1 to ruin any and all public trust in the police.

What a coincidence that all of the other cops that watched George Floyd die are also part of the .01 percent. Yep, one big group of 1 percenters.

Piss off and don’t start. I already had this conversation with another member here. Either above in the thread, or it’s in the protesting and riot thread

Thankfully, we're seeing some good cops step up and confront the shithead cops.
    Keep praying. Keep the faith.

There are so many things wrong with this case that the only thing that will end up being considered a result is the destruction of the property around the country.

First, the two pictures of the suspect are hard to call a match. Second, the officer and Floyd knew each other and likely worked together. There also may be some involvement beyond work. Third, the badges of Chauvin and Thao look suspicious. Fourth, the autopsy and video don't match. There are facial bruises and abrasions which match his face being on the pavement and indicate the knee more on the back of the head and not windpipe, ala, Dr Badan and autopsy findings of no asphyxiation. Fifth, Floyd had substances, methamphetamine and fentanyl in his system and was infected with Covid-19. These along with underlying heart conditions and ME conclusions of no asphyxiation will make a determined cause of death difficult.

Then they give the case to Ellison a suspect Antifa adherent shown holding an Antifa handbook and has history of domestic abuse with wife and girl friend along with receiving $100,000 in election donations from the Soros organization.

The state of Minnesota should have real difficulty prosecuting this case.

The thing that gets me is that one of them reportedly checked for his pulse, did not find a pulse at about the same time he had stopped talking and appeared not to be breathing; yet, after being informed a pulse could not be found, the other officer continued with the restraint of the knee on his neck and did not in any way attempt to resuscitate him. I think, if anything, that is what is going to hang the officer who applied the knee pressure and maybe the others as well. Think about that. The officers - who likely are trained in all of this (restraints, first aid, CPR and so on) - knowing the guy has no pulse or at least that one was not found: did not remove the pressure to his neck, seemingly did not check for a pulse again, did not sufficiently if at all attempt to see if he was responsive, and did not attempt in any way, shape or form to resuscitate him and the officer kept the pressure on his neck for almost 2 minutes afterward.

They are all screwed, or so I would think if any evidence actually shows that the restraint led to his death in any contributing manner and their lack of proper action after he was unresponsive and after no pulse was found is going to damn them. What is also going to be damning, I think, is the guy in the crowd who keeps telling the cops that Floyd is unresponsive and not moving and keeps telling them to check his pulse and in essence to get off of his neck. Yes one officer reportedly suggested removing the knee and turning him on his side or something like that but did nothing to get that done and one checked his for his pulse but that evidently was way too little way too late. Of course, they are due their days in court but right now that video and the complaint look pretty damning.

    Answer these questions.
Why do they know each other?
Why are the two officers badges wrong?
Why does the license plat say 'POLICE'?
Why he able to move his face away from the knee?
Is the knee on the windpipe or occipital part of head?
Do you see any EMT's on the gurney?
Is there body cam video showing Floyd was resistant?
    Does ME report support asphyxiation?
