    You could be right.

I wondered if he did not get concerned until the saw the cameras.
It seemed he only became concerned after the other officer went to help him up and even then he hesitated before he helped almost as if it was an afterthought of something like damn I'd better try to make myself look good for the cameras.

Really - are you kidding me? You are using shit that agitators posted online to say it is the same guy. First off, look at the color of the filter cannisters in the video and in the photo. Are they the same? At 22 seconds into the video you can plainly see the filter cannisters on the guy smashing the windows are gray not pink or whatever is that color. Anyone could post two pics of one guy and say - oh my goodness it's him. Can you imagine why, maybe that cop has enemies. Who outed him? It says people who know him. Who. In addition, is that pic of him with the gas mask on a Photoshop job? That would be pretty easily done. Pay close attention to the smearing lower left side (as you look at it - your left) of the plastic face shield and of the mouth/nose piece. They are smeared with Caucasian colored flesh tone. Also, on left of nose/mouth piece, the left edge about halfway between his right eye and bottom edge of the clear plastic face-shield has flesh colored smearing coming into it. This is not evidence of anything yet; could it be him - maybe but not based on this stuff can you prove anything. By the way, do you believe everything you read on Twitter that folks post as evidence?

It could be him, I'm waiting until the smoke clears to see if it was him or not. The point I tried to make was it's possible some of these cops are doing this to exacerbate the riots. So if it is true that cop was doing it, I think its not a far stretch of the imagination to assume some of these police officers are complicit with being paid agitators themselves

I'm 72 years old and don't move as fast as I use to. I'm not real slow just don't have the spry in my step that I did a few years ago.

I would not like for someone to push me because it takes me a few seconds to get moving.

    I agree.
But if I see the police telling people to move, I'm not going to stand around for them to walk up to me, and tell me to my face.

    Agreed.
I would have started moving when I saw the police telling everyone to move on. I would not have been the last person still standing still.

Some of these cops are doing this on purpose to fan the fire even more. Especially cops from big leftist ran cities.
I disagree with a lot in this thread, but you most of all.
He was a dick without a doubt. And he did not help until another officer moved in to helped the man up.
If it was me, and I do use a cane to walk sometimes, I would have shook them both off and told them.to f### off. After I got his name and badge number. Even if I had to crawl away on hands and knees.
It is not his fault he was near what was going on. He had a legal right to be there. He clearly was not part of what was going on. I am NOT anti cop. What I am is anti anyone that will misuse authority. Including cops.

If I have a right to be there and not otherwise in danger, I would. But I'm an idiot and don't do ultimatums well either.
    One of my fatal flaws.

I thought maybe he was waiting for a bus, he appeared to be at a bus stop - see one sign post to your left in the video from the one on which he was leaning - looks to be a bus stop sign. He did not look like the typical protestor but who knows.

    Out here by the lake!
At least the cop didn't wail on him like the nursing home old white guy! Gee wonder what ever became of world stupid weight sluggo boy? Surely it was not a hate crime, or crime against the elderly. Those charges might set a portion of society off & they would riot, pilage & commit arson!

Perhaps not malice, but definitely negligence. Old age + cane usually equal mobility issues. You guide or physically escort a person with mobility issues, not barrel through them like you're doing a prison cell entry.

Looking at how the victim fell, I wonder if he hit his head on the railing or street. PD should have called a medic to check him before moving out.

That officer needs to be pulled from the line and assigned to a support role until this is investigated.
