Did you pay cash for it?

Do you only use cash or minutes cards to replenish?

Have you ever used the number for anything connected to your name or address?

True, I suppose I would need to start all over in that case, however my thought was whether the contact tracing api would be in a phone that doesn't use apps or bluetooth. Seems those are the tools they are using at the moment.

That sounds like a very good solution to me.
I've just been spraying freaking everything with 70% alcohol several times a day. But I work around a very large number of people. A 2 liter pump sprayer works great for that. We have access to 96 % alcohol by the gallon at work and we dilute it down with DI water.
I have fabric masks that I wash everytime I use them.

Specific to the contact tracing apps some people want to make mandatory, yes. If the contact tracers reports to LE that they can't find you, a dumb phone could still be tracked with the cooperation of the cell company or via stingray.

We've known about the tracking capabilities and other spooky shit for 20+ years. What's new is some people want to make it so you can't buy food at the grocery store without having the gov approved tracking app installed on your phone.

The API only exists on an iPhone running iOS13.5 or later or droid phone using the updated Google Play Service version.

I have several iPhones that still work, but no longer do software updates because they are so old. Those don’t have the API and can’t get it.

The corona virus must be gone all I see is news about the riots.
Really, it was only the news outlets keeping it alive. Daily stories about the horrible deaths. Doubts about reopening the country.
    They likely have Corona-fatigue, too.
Give them something else to talk about and they jump right on it.

I understand their are other tools available, however in this very specific scenario and excluding me being diagnosed with Kung Flu, how would the contract tracer know who I was, in a situation that the video points to, where I am in the same area as some stranger who is diagnosed and has no location, blue tooth or app data to track me?

Someone needs to come up with a Faraday cage for phones.

I'm thinking of going to smoke signals. With my luck the fire department would make me hang up.
Two or three layers of mylar anti-static bags seems to work okay. Stick it all in one of those aluminized grocery cold bags for some extra coverage. Definitely test it before you rely on it though - not all those bags work as well or work the same.

I knew there was a reason I had not updated IOS.
