well I would guess the Manhunt was started because they feel he killed someone
Ohhhh....ok. Not talking about the manhunt....thanks Cpt. Obvious. The original intent of my post was to question what may have snapped in the mind of this seemingly successful college kid to trigger his actions.

Thanks. It might be nice for you to edit a couple more of your recent threads too. Just a tag line for a title with a link, with no description or clue as to what you want to talk about isn't a great conversation starter.

As to what triggered this kid? There's not enough information on him and his background to even guess. And that's ignoring the fact that there are lots of folks who just snap every day for no known reason.

The different articles I have read and some of the news reports say he was heavy into anti gun, PC and climate change stuff. I'm guessing the Covid bullshit put him over the edge.

    Cool Kid

You know, posts where you just use a snappy thread title and only post a link with no other comments. I wasn't trying to be offensive. Just pointing out that you can start the conversation about the article you post instead of just some thread title that doesn't do anything more than act as click bait.

You are more than welcome to disregard my posts.

If that's you're wish, I'll be happy to oblige.

Not click bait. We cant post the text of articles here due to the rules of posting.

One was about the usual gun violence in Chitcago......hence the sarcastic title.

The other about a kid earning 4 Associates degrees by the tie he was 13 was appropriately titled......."cool kid".......again, if you are interested click the news article because I cant cut and paste content.

Frankly, who really cares why he snapped. He snapped. Too many people put way too much emphasis on knowing why people do, or did what they do or did. Who cares? I'm sure most are like myself and really don't care.

Does anyone think we will ever get all the facts or the truth behind the reason why? I seriously doubt it. Unless he left some sort of note, or "manifesto" proclaiming his reasons, more that likely most of anything said would be speculation.

    YMMV!

We may come to know the reason or we may not. A lot of these guys kill themselves (or get killed) before that becomes known. My view is simple; I’m in the same school of thought as others have expressed. He’s just freakin’ nuts!

But regardless of what set him off, the resultant public reaction is what concerns me the most. This kind of evil (mental illness, lack of maturity or whatever you may attribute it to) is what has lead the ‘liberal Left’ to call for Red Flag laws.

In the Left’s perpetual rose colored world, there always remains the ability to identify and “fix” a problem before it manifests itself to the general public. Their refusal to acknowledge or believe there are just some ‘sick puppies’ among us who cannot be “fixed” is what leads them to infringe on everybody’s Rights. If it takes curtailing ‘due process’ then so be it - their philosophy of “the greater good” and all that rot, is at the core of the problem. And this type of guy’s actions just reenforces their belief: Red Flag laws can somehow save the day!
