At the range Sunday the range master told everyone to stay out and away from the brush and creek because the diamondback and cottonmouths were starting to come out.

Someone told him not to worry, that we're all armed.

I remember introducing my son to rat snakes many years ago. He was familiar with grass snakes but one got in the garage and wanted to put up a fight. Snake with an attitude.

Was greeted by this little guy this morning. Thought it was a copperhead, but have been told its a moccasin.

I didn't know since I'd never seen one. It was same size as the copperhead I saw a while back, just had a lot of girth. Guessing it's around 18" long.
