    I am exactly one generation too young to properly appreciate this song- the meaning with regard to WW2. Written & 1st issued in 1938, but was a WW2 hit in mid-40s by Crosby, Stafford, Sinatra, Holiday and others. This doowop/rock era cover version came out in 1959. Not a big hit but everytime (& that's not very often) I hear it, I get a little cold chill at the last line of the vocals - much like the cold chill I get 2 seconds after the mid-song cessation of vocals in Free Bird. What? TMI?
