As a veteran of the US military, I looked into joining the TSG a few years ago. I spent a good amount of time talking to them and looking into it and decided it wasn’t for me.
So kiss my ass sir.

In other words, they didn't want you!
majormadmax,
You are CORRECT, as I'm NOT in the grade of COL/06 or above (who can serve after their 70th BD), am "pretty physically beat-up" & am over 70YO.
Within my current physical limitations, I do numerous volunteer service hours for TPWD each year.
(My partner, Melissa G____, & I am about to do another "small mammal study" for a nearby state-owned property to gather raw data for TAMU's biology department & AGRILIFE.)
Note to friends who've asked: My 3 broken & 4 racked ribs are (finally, Thank Heaven !!!!) about healed, after the accident & I'm "out & about " again.

Near Dallas I believe. He's a Lt. Col. in the Texas State Guard.
He left the Austin Freedom Rally. The post sad they had just left Austin and were taken to a Waco hospital. So not near Dallas.
After reading some of the posts here it appears that some folks don't know much about Lt. Col. Allen West. There is a little more to the story than just him being in the TSG. Here is a link to his website where you can find out more about this very distinguished and highly decorated man.
I know about his military career and how it ended over that interrogation. I think he did the right thing there and have always supported that position. After reading some of the posts here it appears that some folks don't know much about Lt. Col. Allen West.
