Is the G43X just completely different from the gen 4 G19 that I grew to hate. For the first time ever, I think I may buy a Glock.[/QUOTE]

They always do exactly what they are supposed to do.

The 43X and 48 are slimmer. Wider that a standard 43 and narrower than the 19. IIRC, the 48 is about the same size as a 19, but narrower and without the capacity.

Optics are standard equipment on all pistols, one on each side of your nose. In most cases anyway.
    Yes I have glasses.

I wanted a pistol that used an RMR, mostly to see how I like it. Fewer planes of focus is interesting to have on a pistol.

Until you run Shield Arms mags - then they're identical capacity. The downside is to run the Shield Arms 15 round mags, you have to also swap your mag catch out to a metal part, as the metal magazines will chew the plastic mag catch up in short order.

The 43X / 48 with the 15 round mags makes for a damn tempting carry gun. If you find one that comes with the factory high-viz tritium sights, even better.

I went to squeeze off a few rounds. I took the kitchen sink with me, mostly stuff I knew needed cleaning. I grabbed the nightstand gun, my current EDC, couple TX22s because I needed to adjust the sights and an AR that has never been shot. The AR was the only one to give me an error. I should have cleaned and oiled it first. The TX22s dialed in perfect. I love them. My EDC has a green laser that I couldn't find the tool for this morning and of course it is off slightly. The nightstand gun has suppressor height sights that are hard to see in the dark. I need to change those. Here is the confusing part...

It was free rental day and I have been toying with a new EDC since they're getting so compact these days. I grabbed the P365, Hellcat and G43X. My groups were about the exact same with the 365 and Hellcat. I can tell the hellcat hasn't been fired a lot and felt a little gritty and needed to smooth out or wasn't cleaned well. If you can't decide between those two, neither could I. I guess it's just whichever floats your boat. Here is the odd part of the day. I have never shot a Glock well. They don't fit in my hand right and I don't like them. I shot the hell out of this G43X. I have never shot a Glock so well in my life. Groupings were unreal for me. I figured maybe I was just warmed up better but no. I loaded them all up, got a clean target and gave each gun its own ring. Is the G43X just completely different from the gen 4 G19 that I grew to hate. For the first time ever, I think I may buy a Glock.
Sometimes you just find the right one no matter the brand or past experiences with similar products.

You can't say exactly why but it just feels right and everything comes together.

I found mine 15 years ago and it is a Glock as well.

It just feels right as soon as I grip it.

Some things are not to question. Don't try to analyze it but just enjoy it.

Let the naysayers say what they wish. This isn't about them or their opinion of what you should have.

    Congrats.

Like I always say "whatever feels good in your hand and you shoot the best."

    KISS
    EXACTLY!
My father always said that. He taught me when I was five and I have taught dozens of people how to shoot running ranges in the military for years..plus kids, friends, etc.
I always tell them the same thing, exactly what you said "whichever one feels best in your hand and whichever one you shoot well with".

You buy whatever you want and don't listen to anyone who badmouths your gun. I saw an old man with a five shot bolt action rifle hold off a whole platoon of our troops for over an hour... just sayin. The rifle was older than he was by the way.

Glocks are fine, I shoot em as well as anything, drill the center out of the bullseye at any range with a G17. They may not be for everyone and that's fine too. The P365 is badass too, accurate as fffccckkkk and smooth as butter!
