    Is there where the crane operator took the word of someone on the weight of that Generator?
    I got to witness a similar occurance in Johor Bahru, that guy never made it over thank God. They don't check weights at all, grab and go. If the outriggers come off the ground, it's too heavy, set it back down.

    I've been around Lebherr and Manitwoc large track cranes
    Flying nacelles and rotors on wind turbines
    Those guys are a little nuts but they know their machine and most of those cranes wont let you get into trouble unless you over ride the safety

    Turner used to have a crane operator who was an incredible artist. He could fly a generator or gearbox to that nacelle with nary a swing even in winds at the operating limit. Perfect placement every time.
