They’re good people. None of us are over 50 and there’s no ‘high risk’ folks involved.
Everybody’s okay across the board.
Three families, nine folks over tonight. Us, the neighbors and their daughter, her boyfriend, mom, and younger brothers. First time we met (and the girls parents) the boyfriend and some of his family.
His dad and my wife work for the same agency, but don’t know each other. The dad wasn’t here because he’s WFH on the same weird split shift my wife was doing until she went back in. She’s now doing a normal shift working in office.
Everybody was happy to so something social, but recognized it felt a little weird.

No sir., and we’re grateful. Mom is with the Lord, dad is in Brenham and we don’t see him often. Son is at Ft Polk, LA waiting for another SF A&S slot, daughter is a teacher in Austin.

Well, y'all going to have to forgive me. I very seldom drink distilled spirits anymore, saving for the rare special occasion.
But, on such rare occasions, my favorite bourbon of choice is W L Weller Special Reserve .
But today, after doing some mowing and trimming weeds, I rewarded myself with a very cold bottle of Corona!
