    How's it go'n fellas.

My long time leftist, best friend FINALLY got an AR pistol. I guess as he gets older he's moving more toward the center and just recently settled down and had a kid, so I guess nature is playing out.

Anyway, I want him to be able to use that gun for defense as well as zero it in and shoot it a bit, so I'm hoping my fellow Texans can sell this guy 60-200 rounds of .223/5.56. I'd like the cheapest ammo possible so I can teach him how to zero and shoot it well. Maybe 30 rounds of self defense ammo would be ok, as this is his only self defense weapon, until I can talk him into buying a pistol.

Either way, hard to find ammo and not looking to pay my left nut per round, so I'm strictly asking for a favor from a fellow Texan.

Paying with Paypal. I also have stuff you may be interested in for trades.

God bless you and yours and be safe.

Hey I really do appreciate you trying to help, but before I made this ad I looked into Academy and everything is sold out. I checked the link you posted anyway, just in case I missed something, and sure enough it's all showing as "out of stock".

Anyway, if anyone has about 90 rounds of cheap ammo to sell, please let me know. Also interested in up to 60 rounds of home defense 5.56.

    Thank.

Hornady frontier was in stock for home delivery earlier today, as was one other.

Well, if the ammo shortage survives the virus and outlasts the shelter in place orders, and he still is interested and still needs ammo, get in touch with me via a PM. I probably will still have at least 100 rounds I can part with for just the shipping but it will ship via UPS not USPS. It's worth a hundred rounds just to help out a leftist turning out right. It amazes me he bought an AR pistol for self defense, in fact it amazes me anyone buys them, but such is life.

What’s wrong with an AR pistol for self defense?

I am amazed in part due to personal preference for a whole gun instead of 1/2 or 3/4 of the gun when it comes to a rifle or a shotgun. My training and experience (and anecdotal experiences of others) also have made it so that I see absolutely no reason to essentially chop down an AR that was designed to be a rifle when there are plenty of excellent pistol choices out that that were designed from their origination to be pistols. To me an AR pistol is nothing but tacticool, much like a shotgun with the stock removed to be replaced by a pistol grip. Your mileage may vary.

Different barrel lengths are for different applications. My MP5K is easy to clear my house with, swinging an 18" barrel around my house with high velocity rounds isn't ideal for me.
I think some people forget that we all don't live in an apartment, a house, a farm, 500 acres, 2 acres. I can just about think of an application for every gun I have, different lengths and calibers.
That's just my thought process though.

No that note, I have whole and partial guns :D.

AR Pistol is a classification term, not a real meaning for that designation.

Your best bud is a leftist, ok, think him getting gunned up will cause him to stop being a leftist?

    Unlikely....just a leftist now with a gun.

    Great, just great!

Or, am I way off base and his sudden realization that self defense with a gun 'IS' a good idea and his voting for lefties and lefty causes will stop?
