1,324 dead in our country today, reports are still being tallied and the rate of change is increasing.
As I've said, beware exponential-fatigue. They, the deceased, all have loved ones who will not even be allowed a proper burial gathering.

I was just reading of a disturbing dystopian concept coming out of Italy.

Italian cases seem, on the surface, to be controlled.
Their public health conversation is turning to facing the challenge of determining when and how and at what rate to re-open their society without precipitating a second cataclysmic surge of contagion.

    Consider two simple facts:
    1. An effective vaccine is 12-18 months off. It may never exist.
    2. Tests for IgG and IgM antibodies that demonstrate viral resistance after exposure is very near.

Italy is considering providing work and public-place passes to those individuals who's serologic test demonstrate COVID protection and forbidding work and public-place access to those still susceptible to the virus.

    ...........................
THAT is the most disturbing thing I have been confronted with to date.

I'm not going to discredit the seriousness of the illness (I still fear no beer), but the potential human reaction scares the shit out of me, for my children.
And this kind of constant negative trolling is what's going to fuel it into an inferno. GAWD forbid someone post something positive.
As of right now 277,205 cases in the US. 6,593 deaths. Know what that means? 270,612 people didn't die!

    Exactly!

Let's focus on the positive, instead of harping on the negative so much.

My personal twist . . . let's keep things in perspective.

An young idiot on another forum, stated that our country has never faced such a pandemic as we are going through currently.

Hmmm.... what about the 1918 Spanish Flu pandemic? Estimated between 500K to about 675K deaths in the United States alone! Population was approximately 105 million at the time.

I'm not trying to minimize the seriousness of the virus, but we are no where near what happened in 1918 yet.

The supreme art of war is to subdue the enemy without fighting.

When strong, avoid them. If of high morale, depress them. Seem humble to fill them with conceit. If at ease, exhaust them. If united, separate them. Attack their weaknesses. Emerge to their surprise.

The Chicoms have realized we have a critical mass of ignorant people in this country and have exploited it.
