Normally I would delete this thread as a copyright violation. However, the CBS site TOU allows for redistribution for personal use in some cases. The OP may fall under that allowance. I don't know for sure but I'll assume baboon did the right thing.

Note: Other mods may disagree and if they do the thread will disappear without warning.

Instead of the chance any moderator might make this thread disappear, would it not be better to edit the OP and remove the quoted article and then replace it with brief blurb and a link to the article if a moderator thinks it copyright infringement?

It would make this thread better but I don't know if it would be better overall for TGT. As a rule, mods don't edit member posts. If mods change the words of members routinely, how can members trust the board?

I can't speak for other mods but in cases almost like this, where I think the subject is important but the OP is clearly a copyright violation, I have been known to write the thread originator and ask them to start another thread.

This is the link to the OP article.

Now, if baboon wants to make sure that this thread remains on the board, he could simply edit his OP to say "See link in #9, below."

But, as a general rule, I would rather delete the entire thread than edit a user's words without their permission.

    Again, other mods may differ.

“ Cheaper than Dirt had amassed 58 price gouging complaints — the most complaints filed against any store during that timeframe.”

Couldn’t happen to a better company. I hope Paxton grows some manhood over this.

ETA: as for their reference to BSA and personal responsibility, that’s just reprehensible. I’ll probably contact BSA Monday and let them know their being drug through mud.

*I realize BSA doesn’t have the best reputation right now, but my experience growing up as Scout and as an adult scout leader in several packs and troops in multiple states and overseas reinforces my belief that a few bad apples were allowed to rot the core.

I've told the story of having the AR ammo go up 3 times while I was in the store and it was in my hand.

Thay are bastards. They dont charge more because it costs more, they phuck their customers and I hope they go under for it.

The publicity is the most important part of thus.

I can't find any evidence that a lawsuit has been filed against ctd.

I think it’s just complaints with the AG’s office. Whether the AG will do anything with it, who knows.

I agree with PronStar that if you’re designated an “essential” business and, therefore, allowed to stay open, then your products or services must be essential.
