There is a chicken snake that has semi permanent residence in my father's barn during the spring and summer, that takes care of his bird problem. It usually hangs out in the rafters overhead. It's about six feet long.
They are also hell on squirrels. Friend of mine will take everyone I have to relocate over 5’ for his pecan trees.

    To All,

Fwiw, as some members here know, I collect "souvenirs" that are associated with TX GIs of the past. = One is a picture postcard from a YL in Livingston, TX & mailed to a CPL Richardson of the USA, postmarked 14DEC17 of a VERY LARGE velvet-tail trying unsuccessfully to get into a small hole.

The caption says, " I'm a Texas rattlesnake & I'm so big that I can't find a hole big enough to hiss in."
The message is: I love you to death, Donald. MERRY CHRISTMAS, YOUR Jo-Nelle.

    yours, satx

Saw this coppermouth coral rattlemoccasin in the yard today. Luckily, it was already dead.

We call them sewer roaches in AZ. Because when the city sprays the sewers you house becomes under siege. Fraking roach air force.

12 gage bird shot will take them down. A bofors is a bit much for individuals and too slow a rate of fire for an effective antiaircraft barrage.
