No. He's right. The little guys are the ones that will be worst hit. "Essential" or not. Corporate will come out ok. They can draw on places less hit by these orders. Mom and Pop places can't.

But don't think corporations are just fine. You can't have your revenue cut 75% and survive long, corporation or not. You can't be forced to shut your factory for long.
And who is it that employs so many people? Corporations.

I am not demonizing them at all. I know they provide a valuable service to our country.
I am just saying that many politicians don't necessarily have the citizen's best interest in mind.
They need to look after their friends and their investments too.

I'm convinced that these stay at home orders have nothing to do with our safety. The media talks about "Flattening the curve" and that translates to something other than safety.
Keeping us at home and social distancing, all revolve around keeping moderate numbers of afflicted people at any given time. The rulers know that a football stadium full of people would produce unmanageable numbers of patients. This virus is very contagious and they want us to catch the virus at different times to unburden the medical facilities. They really don't give a chit if we get sick!
Notice too, everyone who died recently is linked to the virus? My BS meter is going off the scale!
The best advice is to take your temperature often. If the temp is normal or sub normal, YOU DON'T HAVE THE CORONA VIRUS!

What company does he work for/what rig is he on? I'm curious because we are supposed to go back there once our current contract in US waters concludes. The powers that be have yet to figure out how crew change/quarantine will be handled, but that is still a couple of months out.
Guaranteed, just a matter of whether it is additional straight time for the extra time served or proper rotational overtime. In the current market it is more than likely additional straight time.

I know my wife is upset with the stay at home order, but not regular reasons. See all the barbers are closed and my hair WAS getting long. Out came the clippers, can you say surgical length. Oh yaeh, she's not a fan of the skin head.
