Just saw my first tv ad where Bloomberg blames Trump for COVID-19

I don't believe the disease will be a big deal in terms of loss of life, but it's biggest impact might be that it gave the Ds a chance to win an election they had no chance to win. If the stock market's woes continue, and combine with China-related production issues to significantly weaken the overall economy, it might be enough for the Ds to win.
This is the real problem with Corona virus.

And this is what has pissed me off and bothered me for years. One reason the for the strength of the US is that we had a manufacturing base that a lot of countries did not. When manufacturing went overseas and closed here, it largely took that away. We have the resources if we want to use them. We no longer have the factories. We are now dependent on the rest of the world for 80% of what we consume.
No longer does a country have to attack us directly to severely disrupt the country or affect how we live. They just have to disrupt those that supply us.
While everyone has been concerned with deadly toxins, they paid no attention to what would be just as devastating.
    Fear.
And although there is not among most of us, it is showing in those that are always looking for something to be afraid of and, apparently, a lot of others around the world.

    Yes.
Agreeing that your post verifies the terribly frightening nature of COVID-19!!!

    According to your data:

Flu kills about 1 in 1,200 of those infected.
Mostly people with other confounding co-morbidities

    Coronavirus kills 1 in 29.
Mostly completely healthy older(over 50) people.

Currently there is little to do to contain spread of this virus or to mitigate the impact.

It's inexorable march toward our cities is, almost certainly, un-impedeable.
Anyone who is remaining smug or unconcerned just isn't paying attention.
That whole blind hog finding an acorn thing.
It is almost never that I agree with you, but my contacts and family in Asia and Southern Europe tell me the news here is down playing the seriousness of this nasty little bug.

Am I concerned I am going to catch it and die, not really, but taking precautions is almost free so why not take them.
