I’ve had great luck on Gunbroker some great deals to be had. I don’t mind not handling the firearms first they usually have a good description. I’ve bought a couple old colts for 1/3- 1/2 of retail cost that had bad pictures and incomplete descriptions. I bought a unfired nib sig p226 legion for $826 shipped. Glock 19x nib $486 shipped. Sig m17 nib $500 shipped and the list could go on and on. Be careful because it’s addictive.

Never had an issue buying some seriously expensive used guns from online dealers. The rule is 'Buy the seller and not the ad'.

Any dealer worth buying from won't mind answering a few questions about the item if you call and ask. Some might even send you additional photos of the gun. If they won't work with you, or you get any funny feelings in your gut pass on it and move on.

    To All,

Fwiw, "Ed", my "little brother of the heart", buys OFTEN on gunbroker.com & has NEVER gotten "stung" in over 5 years. = Ed collects OLD Colts & antique revolvers/pistols (mostly in .32 caliber).
(Ed is VERY picky about originality, condition, etc. - As he is "that way", I suspect that I would NEVER be displeased with the sort of used guns that I might buy.)

Note: MOST of my collection is REMINGTON Model 760 rifles/carbines.
(I now have ALL of the calibers, except the two calibers that I cannot afford due to rarity/price & the one caliber (7x61mm S&H ) that I've heard "gossiped about" in Europe but which may never have been produced at all.)

    yours, satx

I’m not a collector in the sense of classic and rare firearms. I want things I want to shoot, carry and store.

I’m looking at how I can expand my pistol collection without breaking the bank (in my wife’s mind). My list of desired pistols has recently expanded which happens. I know I won’t get them all, but even my shortened list of wants has over 15 pistols on it in 9, 40, 45 and .22LR across 5 or more different manufacturers. The way I see it, if I can save $100 or more on a used pistol, I am doing well.

I only have a few (7 or 8) additional rifles/carbines I would like to get someday though the list does grow as well. I may buy used, but more than likely will buy those new.
