I have a wheeler sight pusher and have changed about a dozen sights so far. I always have a little trouble centering them on the slide, front and rear. How are you guys ensuring your sights are perfectly centered?

Scan it at work & print an alignment jig when no one is looking.

Eyeball it, take'em to the range, adjust as needed. Haven't needed to adjust them after the range trip yet.

I eyeball them but readjust at the range if needed.

Sometimes the sight doesn't go dead center. Even though we live in a great time for mass produced quality machined parts they still may not be perfect.

I make a paper template of the dovetail or slide if it has a easily to define edge. I then fold it in half and set it back in the dovetail and use a sharpie to make a dot. Install sight, done. If you're off you probably cant shoot good enough to notice at handgun range.

I've also seen a Glock Armor do the same thing except he used a small pencil size block of wood the length of the space between sights with a line down the center and point and squares one end against the front sight and that directly lines up the center of the rear sight.

A bore sight laser squared against the front sight point back works too.
