My guess is that if Bernie actually takes the primary, he will suddenly have a heart attack and keel over stone cold dead and Bloomberg or the gay guy (Buttijeg or whatever) will take his place. God forbid the woman is the dem candidate, she will draw millions of women's vote away from Trump.

We were talking govt benefits for all in this thread... I am on social security and medicare. I paid for years and continue to pay for medicare so I am not sure I would consider these items a "benefit". If someone gets on board with social security and medicare (or medicaid) and hasn't paid a dime (such as illegals), that would be a BENEFIT that I WOULD BE PAYING FOR AND THAT AIN'T COOL BY ME.

Exactly.....no sense of history or the realities of socialism. Always amazes me that those on the left always seem to have at least a tepid.....oftentimes more....respect and admiration for ruthless socialist and communist dictators both past and present.

In a perfect world, any college student who embraces Marxist ideology should be required to spend their internship in Havana or Caracas to get a firsthand look at the destruction brought about by those policies.

Never thought the day would come when an avowed socialist would be making a run for the nomination.

But in reality, almost all of the Dem candidates are socialist. They just don't admit it like Bernie.

Friend of mine thinks the DNP will try to arrange a contested convention (think that is the term they use) to take away the crown from Bernie. If they do, a lot of Bernie supporters might stay home on election day. Which would be a good thing up and down the ballot.

But I still think perhaps Bernie is the best one to lose to Trump.
