    Sweet deal!
Definitely. Was going to use it on one of their suppressors, but the process for ordering a can directly from them( coupon has to be a direct sale) was a pain so I just bought a DeadAir Sandman and used the coupon on some good lights

I wish I had that coupon on the XVL2 I just ordered.

I have had the defender for 5 years and have loved it. Mine is “only” 800 lumens I think but it lights shit up far away. I got rechargeable CR123s, and that has saved me a lot of money. I haven’t had the need to use the defender aspect of it yet, but I’m sure it would hurt like hell lol.

My E2D has the old incandescent bulb. Puts out a decent amount of white light but not the blinding amounts I like to carry. I have the dual fuel Fury( 1500 lumens with the 18650 battery)

The old E2D is great for finding blood trails at dark. Warm white light showcases blood better than the ultra bright LEDs.

The very first SureFires I bought were the original Combat lights. Gave one to one of my best friends & those ended up staying in Africa as tips to the P.H.'s. Since then I have bough a bunch of SureFire products & my buddy is addicted to them.

I am pretty excited about the Stiletto Pros I am getting. Got to use one earlier this year and was impressed. Got two because Mrs.Hoji is always complaining that she gets last years technology flashlights when I upgrade:)

All lights perform as advertised. The Stiletto Pro has a strobe feature that is very disorienting. Will be a fun tool in some of the classes I teach.
Carries like a pocket knife and does not dig into your leg while driving. Very comfortable.

the Defender Ultra dual output is everything it advertised.5 lumen setting is great for reading or general navigation in the dark and the 1000 lumen setting will make you see spots if you get it in the eyes.

Can you get cheaper lights made in China ? Yep. There is a reason SureFire is the gold standard for illumination. They are simply awesome( and still made in USA)

WTF?! We agree on something ;)

Bought a E2D LED Defender in '09 and have carried it ever since w/o a single failure and it has been dropped many times, several times from +10' onto concrete. Used in water too.

I can't find it on their site, do you know the max output of the original? I think 1,000 lumens more than doubles it. I may have to get one.

Why did you get the Stiletto Pro vs. regular?

I'm still trying to be patient on my XLV2. Ordered on 2/20, bank charged 2/21 checking order

SureFires evolution from Laser Products Corporation on October 17, 1979 has been something.

I remember being @ SCI Convention when their suppressors were still about to be unveiled. Their Hellfighter is pretty impressive, as are their IR products

    I agree 100%!

I’ve been suckered and bought other lights, even some other well known brands, and they just don’t hold up like a Surefire.

The others I got looked beefy and well made. But after a few drops or few years of age the internals just don’t hold up.

I have never had to deep six a Surefire, even those I bought in the 90’s.

Metal vs plastic body, 1000 lumens vs 650. And at 40% off cost just a little more than the regular. I beat the crap out of my tools, the tougher the better.
Plus 1000 lumen strobe = total confusion on whatever it is aimed at.
My original Executive Defender has an incandescent bulb. Not all that bright by today’s LED standards but it is great for finding blood trails for deer shot at dusk or pigs shot at night.

Stiletto Pro seems pretty cool but more bells & whistles than actually needed functions for me. Plus I don't like the non-serviceable battery. It does make me wonder why Defender models don't have a strobe though.

A little surfing and it seems the original E2D LED Defender was 200 / 5 lumens and the 1st Ultra @ 2013 is 500 / 5. I'm currently low bid at ebay for the Ultra that closes tonight. If that doesn't work out I'll get one another way.

    SureFire can replace the battery
