Will it be worth the 2 1/2 hour drive? Coming from Austin area.

Mostly looking for reloading supplies, brass, powders, primers etc...maybe a firearm if it’s a decent deal.

Says 1200 tables. I’ve never been there and not sure what to expect.

I've been there 3 times and it huge LOTS of good vendors there.
I wouldn't drive that far for a gun show, but that's just me.

BTW, they charge for parking. I think it's $5.00

Used to go quite a bit but haven't been in quite a while. It's decent and fun just because it's a gun show. But really don't expect any deals. Although can't say on the reloading supplies since I've never really looked at any. Always seemed pretty "retail" at best in recent years as far as ammo and firearms. I wouldn't drive that far for it, but YMMV.

Riksors, if it suits your interest, you could also consider visiting on Sunday to attend the adjacent cycle swap meet.

I haven't been to the FW show for several years but the last time I went it was HUGE.

Reloading supplies are found at the "Big Town" show. FW has some regulations that basically remove powders from the choice. The now de-funct Lewisville show was probably the best for reloading supplies but after the move to the speedway have not seen much, time will tell if the speedway show will gain the support that Lewisville had.

Gun shows have been garbage for years. If you don’t mind lots of overweight people who have body odor, baby strollers or misanthropic dealers then go ahead. Most of the guns are listed above MSRP and apparently even the used ones are made of gold. Dealers seem unwilling to negotiate, a huge waste of time imho.

Little late to the party - but I think the FW gun show is great as far as modern gun shows. Hard to beat 1200+ tables. I’m only 25 minutes away from Will Rogers so my 6 year old son and I go quite often. With internet shopping as the new norm, it is more of just a fun thing to do than actively looking for crazy deals.

I do have to admit that I look far more than I purchase.
