I’m looking at getting a Mac all-in-one for work. Is there a difference in the ones you get at Walmart vs somewhere like Best Buy or the Apple store other than the price tag?

Not military. Company is going to pay for it. I’m just price conscious by nature and cheap

No real difference on where you purchased them, at least for Apple products.

Apple tightly controls hardware and they don’t really offer skinny hardware compared to things like TVs, where WM can dictate cheaper specs to meet a price point.

I always steer people to Apple's refurb site. You get the same product in a new chassis, with a new battery, and the same warranty as a new unit. Might as well save the money. Reliability for me on refurb units, and I've personally bought and steered people to buy literally dozens, has been 100% flawless.

Nobody ever said Macs don't break. They're using the same hardware and the same Chinese labor as everybody else.

Compare specific model numbers. It's been said here Apple doesn't play the games others manufacturer's play and produce cheaper units for cheaper retailers. But they do admit to slowing down old hardware with "updates" to convince you to buy newer stuff.

The way the retailers all get around the price match thing for what appears to be the same product, is they all get different model numbers for very similar products based on build quality.

If they all have the exact same model number, go for the cheaper price, or price shop at a place that will beat the other deal. If the model numbers are similar, but just a hair different, understand there's likely some difference in components inside that the 13 YO chicom put together.
