So, here are two data points for you.

I order powder every quarter, last time I ordered just over 1200lbs and the lot code for the powder was 2742. The previous quarter it was 2740. I am small potatoes, so two lot code revs within 3 months and if there are 100 guys like me ordering every quarter, that means a single lot code covers a lot of ground.

Last pallet of primers I bought were all the same lot code, it was just shy of 500k on there. However, I rarely buy that many at a pop but I typically see the same lot across 100-250k. I'm one of many buying so the primer lots are probably fairly large as well.

I asked CCI about this also when I called to ask about the difference between BR and regular primers (even though I had seen a show about that).

They change lot numbers on primers every day. Keep in mind they produce over a million primers a day. If memory serves anyways.

I've never noticed any variations in primer lots. Powders it seems it can be more brand dependent. The Hodgdon and imr stuff seems to vary a bit while reloader and vhitavori are more or less the same lot to lot.

good luck with this brand of powders. I could go
onandon about powders, primers and casings. I very
