sales guy in austin told me, in answer to my question, that my TI-RANT 45M can be cleaned by just shooting carb cleaner down it if i want, no problem. seems a little radical. yes/no?

An AAC Ti-rant 45 can be disassembled. When disassembled the parts can be cleaned with anything that you clean your gun with.
Although there may be, ok there will be, random comments to my method. I use Frog-Lube to clean all of the baffles. I also leave a copious amount on the baffles. This cleans and provides a buffer solution for the first few shots. The first shot is “minty clean”.
My Ti-Rant looks like new after thousands of rounds.
I would use carb cleaner on a can that could not be disassembled.

    Out here by the lake!
Pistol and rimfire, or are you talking rifle cans as well?

All 3 rimfire come apart & they soak, 2 are intregal so it just baffles. Rifle suppressors just soak completely submerged, as does my KAC MP5 can. Don't remember the last tim I shot my pistol can but it would go into soaking
