Best magazines I have ever used for a 45 are Glock 30 mags, they are 9 or 10 rounds.

Kimber, Wilson Combat, and Chip McCormick. The only 1911 mag issue I ever had was with a Mec-Gar mag in my Kimber and I gave it to one of the members on this forum and I think he's still using it.

CDNN normally has the Zenith mags for $8.99, they are a really solid 8 round mag. The one drawback is they don't have the slightly longer tube that makes them easy to seat under a closed slide. I've bought nine of the Zenith .45 ACP mags in the past few months. I've put hundreds of rounds through them without a bobble.
