Headed to my first event at the AA Center (Stars game).

Is there parking nearby that's not $25?

I've used the "Best Parking" app for AT&T Park but it doesn't seem to be as useful for AA Center.

Hoping a fellow TGTer can help guide me in the proper direction. Thanks in advance for any experiential advice.

Was going to recommend taking the Dart train but you'll be coming in from Forney, that won't work. I take the train most of the time going downtown, can't help with parking around the AAC.

Correct on travel, although, maybe park at a dart station to avoid the mess of post-game exodus..? Thanks for the idea!

I agreed. I prefer DART though not sure you can carry a firearm into the AAC.

Can park as far away as Downtown Rowlett Station. Buckner Station may be closer, but is not in a great area. End of the green line.

Yeah do not park at Buckner Station LOL
I used to live not far from there.

There’s a reason why there’s a cop or two posted-up there into the evening...and why there are no cars parked there overnight, or after the cop(s) leave.

Thanks JCC and pronstar... you could likely surmise I'm not a savvy dart traveler and my impressions are mostly from Fox 4 DFW news, "person shot at the dart station"...

Appreciate everyone taking the time to help out.

DART is pretty safe. My main concern would be not being able to carry. Situational awareness always. They usually step up the police presence on busier nights such as when there is an event at the AAC. Victory Station at the AAC and the walk from the station is usually well lit.

Depending on which station/line you are coming from, you may have to transfer to get to Victory Station. If you have a Lexus, they have special parking. If you want to carry and lock your piece in your car, that is an option. You want to prepay for parking or make sure you are way early to make sure you are able to park. Go Mavs and Stars!

What? Special parking for a Lexus?

Lexus has deals with venues across the country, to provide preferred parking.

Texas Ranger stadium is legit - you pull right up front at the ballpark, and they valet your car.

During the game, the valets line the street with all of the Lexus cars they parked.

So when the game is over, your Lexus is literally parked right there when you leave the stadium.

    I'll be danged.
    And AAC does this?
AAC has a Lexus parking garage sponsored by Lexus. Not sure if they valet, but I would be surprised if they didn't. Also, do not know if it is free. Doubtful.

There will be other Stars fans on the rail so you would he fine be riding from Rowlett Sta. We ride the TRE in if I haven't scored a parking pass.
