This is a brand new in-the-box Beretta O/U shotgun. As you can see from the attached Beretta USA catalog image, these shotguns beautiful and have very nice wood.
A gunsmith friend of mine wanted me to start joining him at the Dallas Gun Club for
ZeeZee birds and Sporting Clays. The Dallas Gun Club is a fancy place.
I decided I needed something a little bit nicer than my Beretta 686 White Onyx sporting clays O/U. I bought this shotgun and a week later my friend died from a heart attack while on vacation at Disney World in Florida.
This shotgun has only been fired at the factory. I like this shotgun, but now that Charles is gone; I have to use for it.

I bought this Beretta new at the Cabela's store in Allen about two years ago.
It sold for $2,499. I would take $2,000. I also have a Beretta custom cloth hard case I would sell to compliment this beautiful shotgun.
I have a case of Fiochi 12ga #8 shotgun shells I would include at no extra cost.

I will provide photos of the actual shotgun to those that are interested.

I tried to modify the thread title but I am apparently not smart enough to change it.
Moderator will you please add Dallas area to the thread title.
    Thanks.

I will take a few photos this weekend and update this Monday when I get back to work.

This shotgun will come with the factory vinyl carrying case, the original cardboard shipping box, and spare screw-in chokes.
Your son should really like this shotgun. The 686 is easy to wield and the wood on this one is super.
I competed in Sporting Clays for many years with my Beretta 686 "White Onyx" Sporting. Never had a malfunction in any of the competitions. I recommend you look into the installation of a mercury recoil reducer in the butt stock if you buy this shotgun. My white onyx has a 16 oz "Dead Mule" reducer and it makes a long day on the course much more enjoyable.
    Thanks for looking.

I am one of those guys that likes to buy nice guns. The problem is it took me over 50 years to acquire what I have. Another problem I have is I buy something I love and then later on something else catches my eye. I only have so much room for all of my guns, so something has to go before something new can come home.
That was not the case with this shotgun though. The fellow I was going to shoot with died, so I never used it.
I finally decided it needed to be in the hands of someone who would use it and enjoy it.
That happened this weekend. Scott and his son came to my house to look at the Beretta. We visited for over an hour and they left with the shotgun. The son is just starting out in the shotgun sports, so the new owner could not be better. I just hope he gets as much fun out his new Beretta as I have with my 686 "White Onyx". I competed in skeet and trap for over 25 years. I can remember how it is just starting out.
The longer I shot the more dedicated I became. 25 years of fun and gunsmoke. Damn I hate getting old.

Thank you Scott. It was very pleasant visiting with you and your son yesterday. Drop me a line occasionally and let me how he is doing.

    Betetta "sold".

Hope you are well....Had to share with you my son has become very good...very quickly. He has been shooting just over a year and has since shot 25 straight in trap and skeet a few times. He is quickly becoming very good at sporting clays as well shooting 75/100 most recently. He shot a tournament a few weeks ago and tried Doubles trap and Doubles skeet taking 2nd in the JV division. He had never shot either before! He has become very well rounded and the gun has been perfect through 8000+ rounds since we got it. The best part is we have something we get to do together and I love seeing him beat me. The sport has been eye opening for him and I both providing him confidence showing him what a process, practice and persistence can do.

As a sophomore he has a few more years on his school team but I’m encouraged to see where the sport takes him the next few years and beyond.

    All the best!
    Scott

This is the kind of story I really like to hear.
My shooting buddy died shortly after I bought this shotgun. I no longer had a need for this Beretta after his death. I sold it to Scott and his son. The remaining story could not have turned out any better for both parties involved.
    Thanks, Scott.
