It sure was hard to pass up some of the UNFIRED Colt SSA 45 Colts he had sitting there. I was tempted to come home, grab a bunch of stuff from the safe and do some serious trading.

I have one in 44 Winchester. The early (pre 2005) ones are larger and heavier.
I have two 45 Colt NEW VAQUEROS that are more like the original 1873.
Can never have too many.

It's a great revolver.
If at all possible have someone load some pyrodex or actual black powder loads.
Anyone can shoot factory ammo but the ones that emit a great puff of smoke just do the firearm justice.

I have a Colt and a Great Western, both 45 Colt, and they get shot a lot. I'd like to find a used Vaquero to go with them.

All nice. I have the Rugar Vaquero and the knock off model 73 rifle both in 45 Colt. Great guns to fire and hang on the wall.
I've the Henry large loop in 45 Colt, smooth and accurate, wonderful rifle and a joy to shoot.

few months ago i picked up a 1994 vaquero SS 45 colt. i can load it to 38 spl or above 44mag. gotta be one of my most fun guns to shoot
