Was just informed that the competitors of this get a very healthy discount in the pro shop. I think now would probably be a good time to either cut up all my cards, or, take out a second, third, and most likely, a fourth mortgage on the house.

Never mind. Just remembered that I have to cross over body of water or two on the way home and, I would hate to hear of me having yet another, terrible boating occurrence.

Well, I done went to Epping, New Hampshire and had a F'NG FANTASTIC time!

The match and instruction we received was held in the indoor rifle range. Turn out was kinda' small, with only a total of 13 competitors showing up for this. Although, in a way, the smaller turn out meant for a lot more personal and more individually focused instruction. And in that learning period, I learned a lot about my sighting problems and abilities, and why it doesn't work the way it's supposed to. It was an interesting observation by the instructors that answered some of my questions, and left me with a few that I need to ask those that might know more on this matter. As well as confirming what I had already surmised.

I was taught a better stance for engaging the static targets we had for the competition. It's something that is going to take quite a bit of time and practice to get totally comfortable with as it's almost completely opposite to what I'm used to.

The grip, draw, and presentation routine we were taught is one of the most simple and obvious things I've ever been taught about using a pistol/revolver/handgun. And it makes so much sense, that I almost kicked myself for its simplicity. *****<I will try and figure out how to explain it as a future date, so this area will be marked for that>*****

The pistols that were provided by Sig for the use of those that didn't, or couldn't, bring their own equipment, were P226 models with flat faced triggers. And I'll tell ya', I love that gun, and I HATE! with a passion!, flat faced triggers. Pretty much, no matter what, or how I did something, I just simply could not get a good feel for the trigger on that pistol. My finger almost never landed on the same place twice in a row. There was even a point on one stage, where the R.O. said I had missed the target. And I blame that trigger. I already know I'm not the best shooter but, to miss a complete IDPA sized target from about 15 feet, when I saw it hit?? Well, I thought it did. I watched them look for it, and even walked up there myself, no hole. Nowhere on the whole (censored) target. GRRMMBBL GGRRMMBL GRRR

Got to watch a few guys in wheelchairs do a bit of great shooting. There was even a guy there that was most definitely legally blind that did an absolutely awesome job of adapting and kicking ass. The guy that got this set up, Trevor Baucom, was in this absolutely amazing, battery powered Transformer looking wheelchair that sat down flat on four wheels like a regular type wheelchair, and stood up to the height of a "normal" person, and it rolled back and forth like a Segway with a joystick for left and right. It was cool as all get out. Hope all y'all get to see it when the show that Michael Bane taped out there airs. Can't remember which show it was, or I'd definitely tell you.

We had an awards ceremony for first, second, and third, with awesome looking plaques, as well as a prize drawing for the competitors/students. The latter is the first time where I not only got to see everyone win a prize, a gun, but where they also got a secondary prize to go along with it. Get that, everybody won a gun. How freakin' awesome is that. Below will hopefully be a group pic of the Competitors, Instructors, R.O.s,and Volunteers. I am truly hoping this becomes an annual event. If not a Nationwide event.

IF anyone does know about streaming options, would you kindly let me know. All I have is antennae tv and Amazon Prime for "pay" tv. And I really don't use or watch much of the latter, other than the occasional movie.

ETA: This is on Shooting Gallery with Michael Bane
