Got my NIB S&W 629 today. Surprised me that it got here so quick. Bid on it Monday, and was notified I had won the bid on Tuesday and paid for it then. I was expecting it next week but my FFL called me today. If you happen to bid on guns in Gunbroker, I recommend bidding on SportsmanSupply's, they are quick to get it out.

Nice buy, the full lug should add a good amount of weight to tame the .44 mag.

I used to have a Ruger Vaquero in .44mag but the full power .44mag were just brutal on my hands. The only enjoyable loads were .44spl cowboy action rounds from Black Hills Ammo.

I have some ammo coming (magnum), but it probably won't be here before I go to the range. Guess I have another trip to Academy in my future too.

Now selling for $250 - $300 online. A bargain since I paid $430 for my first one almost 10 years ago.

Blued Smiths clean up nice after some Ren Wax. Need to find a factory period correct rear sight assembly and get that scope off ASAP.
