I've been going to mexico since before I was born (literally). I speak spanish fluently. Used to have a ranch there. Still have lots of friends and acquaintances there.

Any time a mexican politician or official does or says ANYTHING, it's pretty safe to extrapolate and/or exaggerate whatever they're saying, and you will hit the truth about 99.44% of the time.

For the president to say and do that, I'd bet you (someone else's, not my) left testicle that he or his kids are $50M or more richer because of Chapo or his brother.

We think our presidents and congressmen enrich themselves at the electorates expense, but in Mexico, it's easily 100s of times worse.
