    Most all LEO's would fail.

As would most military, but that’s beside the point.

Until a firearm becomes an essential tool, such as with specialized LE/mil units, it’s just a GP tool. Those who view a firearm as a professional level responsibility will go above and beyond minimum standards.

Some do it through competition, some thru dry fire, some in live or sim drills.

But most see a firearm as a push button get banana device, sadly.

Constitutional Carry with current 06/07 restrictions and prohibited places. LTC gets to carry in current prohibited places with few exclusions (jails and bars if consuming alcohol). 06/07 still apply but must leave or fine just as it is now. Everywhere else is fair game. Or just make LTC carry match off duty LEO carry.

I say exclude anywhere if you're under the influence of alcohol. Jails, etc, too.

But no exclusion is applicable unless they provide individual private lockers where I can use my own lock and/or their lock where I have the only key.

I think all non felons should be allowed to carry anywhere that doesn’t provide armed security. Self Defense is the most basic human right; and it today’s world, it’s almost impossible to defend yourself without access to a firearm. I also think that gun safety should be a part of our required school curriculum.

    The judges are scared!! :green:

No courtroom carry makes sense to me. How about a judge that is going to sentence a guy to life in prison or the death penalty and a friend/relative passes or throws a gun to him. Or a ltc has his gun taken by a friend/relative. Then you have a guy with a gun with NOTHING to lose. Bad juju all the way around. Most bailiffs I have seen couldn't hit a courtroom standing inside it. Now you have incompetent vs nothing to lose and a lot of victims looking for a place to hide. Including the judge.

Friend/relative gets the death penalty as an accomplice to murder... How many friend/relatives are gonna jump on that?

As opposed to waiting in the parking lot for the judge. Waiting at the judges house...

How about no open carry in the court room. Then what’s the chances of your argument? Slim to none.

Don’t overthink this. Any risk in the courtroom is potentially the same out of the courtroom

IMO constitutional carry is the only option, LTC for reciprocity is fine but the fact that the largest metropolitan areas in Texas are run by Dems, almost guarantees we will never recover our constitutional rights in regards to the 2A

You are missing one fact. The shooter is the guy that will never get out of prison. How is HE going to the judges house or anywhere else?

roadkill is right. The risk of judging is the same no matter the punishment or location to retaliate. You are way over thinking this. Even in the "wild, wild west" when the death penalty was in much wider use, this was statically not a large problem.
