I don't agree with what the school officials did either. I also don't agree with the precedence that lawsuit implies. I don't believe it to be racially motivated as claimed and the lawsuit is frivolous. Suspension or other disciplinary action is about all that it should entail.

I agree as well on the race baiting aspect of the suit. It’s just a fast way to a settlement IMO. I’d be happy with the principal and other adult paying fines for being stupid though.

Being the crotchety ars I am I'd be awfully tempted to buy several dozen sharpies and hand them out for paint the mustache on everything day.

If this happened to my kid. Of course it wouldnt cause I'm involved in their lives and would question things like that but I digress.

Good thing it's been decades since I was stupid enough to think following thru on such flashes of brilliance might be a good idea. I think I was 12 or 13 that last time I didnt thing something like coloring in a kids head with a sharpie thru to completion before I did it. The sad thing is you would think this was a kindergartner doing it to another. IMHO that's the big issue, why would you retain and adult who thought this was a good idea. Then again ..liberals.

I'd also slap my kid up side the head for allowing anyone to do that to them. There not cattle or canvas.

Would have been simpler to give the kid a ball cap for the day, a letter to the parents to get it fixed. Some dumb ass used a sharpie instead to solve a problem.

... that they created in first place by creating and then trying to enforce arbitrary rules.

In my high school days, guys were sent home for having a Beatles haircut. Basically just long hair over the ears. It's just another case of generational intolerance.

    It's a good thing the kid isn't a blond.
