It is a Gen 2 that I bought used in 1996. I can’t tell you how many thousands of rounds it has but down range.

I had two, one got stolen because of a series of female mistakes with it and the car. We still carry the other from time-to-time, and it carries & serves well. I can also use the mags in my G26, which is one of my fav EDC's.

Checking in with my Gen 2 G19, purchased new in 1992...not common to come across them these days

Soon after I purchased it, the LA riots happened. The shop I bought it from was was one of the gun stores that cops “raided” when the riots started, to increase their duty firepower...so they could let the city burn while they defended Beverly Hills.

How do you like the Ruger SR9?

I like it well enough. I don't bother with learning to take the safety off when I draw, as I just leave the safety off all the time and use it as I would a safety-less pistol. And the safety is stiff enough that I cannot see it accidentally engaging while the pistol is in the holster.

It has enough capacity for my wants, isn't too heavy, and it shares magazines with the PC carbine that I recently acquired.

    Hello all-
New to the forum. I too have a Sig Sauer P228 and like it very much. I bought it new back in 1993 and its a West German version. I shot it for the first time in over 20 years with my youngest son who has never fired a handgun before and we had a nice time. With that, I now have the itch to try the new P320 M17...it looks like a nice one!
