Just had a holdup at a local Shell station I go to its just a few minutes from the house. No one was armed but the rocket scientists took a lady's cell phone with them. Can you say tracked and busted with the firearm they used? I think if crooks use a firearm in the commission of a crime the federal folks should prosecute them for the firearm crime for at least 10 years and you have to serve the 10 years.

I see this a lot here in Harris County. Defendants being convicted of Aggravated Robbery getting 2 year sentences.

California has a law like that on the books called "10-20-LIFE"; 10 years if a firearm is used during a felony, 20 if it is discharged and life if anyone is killed or grievously injured. No one has been convictes under it because the DAs feel the sentences are too harsh. They use it only as leverage to force plea bargains.

DAs are a major concern....not your oridinary DAs anymore, at least in the bigger cities. More leftists who are justice warriors and "switched" sides, but carried their same leftist mantra with them to defend criminals and prosecute victims.

Look no further than Dallas County where the DA won't prosecute any theft under $750 (I think is the number) as long as the theft was for need. Well, where the hell does that end?

    But that's racist now.

I'm sorry to have ever moved to CA but I did meet my wife there and raise a great son. The politicians kept getting crazier and crazier and I kept getting more and more miserable. Two of the happiest days of my life was when our California house sold and when we found our Texas home.
They said the law would allow prosecutors to take dangerous criminals off the street but then decided the law was too severe and unjustly punished minority males. They also stopped prosecuting under the "three strikes" law for the same reason.

And California has turned into a criminal's paradise because of it.

I am grateful to God for moving my family and me out of there.

'Need' is now classified as a rationale for getting away with robbery?

The 'left' - that word means they favor criminals over the law abiding.

One of the definitions of insanity......
