Had a tried putting an old scope on the kids Rascal but the stock is shaped all wrong for it. And the scope was no good.

Swapped it out for a PA red dot and made a cheek riser as my first Kydex project

Just lucked into this one recently -- a Swedish M/94-14 carbine -- serial number 185 of 12,000 made by Mauser before the Swedes got their own production running. Hard to believe it's 124 years old. Still shoots well and has a perfect looking bore, like most Swedish Mausers.

My first AR. It's fun to shoot, but weighs a bit more than I'd like. I have since added a Magpul MBUS so I have a backup iron sight. The next one is going to be a light weight SBR build.

Nice job on your first AR. You could save some weight by going with a Vortex SPARC or Crossfire. You’d also save weight by losing your existing red dot mount. I would also put a QD mount on your magnifier and only have it on when you need it, plus most QD’s are swing away is that option suits you. Not that it’s that particular with magnifiers, but a good QD mount will also ensure the optic aligns back exactly where it was before. Again, not such a requirement for a magnifier, more important for a red dot.

Dad's WWII bring back. K98 8mm Mauser. The stock was pure white, no finish on it at all. I guess I messed it up a couple of decades ago by refinishing the stock. Oh well, serial numbers don't match anyway.

The darn thing is dead on for windage at 50 yards, but shoots 6-8" high, even with a very fine bead.

Nice. That's a late war variant. Barrel band and buttplate show that.
Those were sighted high as the battle sight zero was 200 meters. Aim for the belly and get a center hit out to 300.

Thanks for the info. The receiver is stamped BYF 45, so yeah, very late in the war. You may have noticed in the photo that the upper handguard is missing. Probably was lost in the shuffle after the duffle bag cut. I found one on Ebay a couple years ago and matched it pretty well.

    Nice looking rifle.
The small hole at the bottom corner of the buttplate is for bolt/firing pin disassembly. The earlier versions had the big round rivet in the middle of the buttstock for that.

Installed a tritium front sight on my Colt 6920 from XS Sights, I'm wanting to keep this rifle retro with a carry handle A2 sight instead of optics. I was more interested in the white stripe on the sight than the tritium, the tritium is great in very dark conditions though, it's not that noticeable in semi-dark conditions but that's where the white stripe comes in.

A couple of years ago, I bought several Colt complete lowers for $199.99/ea and threw one back in the safe for me, sold the rest.......

A complete Colt upper became available here on TGT for a decent price...so I jumped on it....Just another black rifle....

This is my Sig M400 SRP. Unfortunately I need a new barrel or something, it's making keyholes.

What ammo are you shooting? We had a guy shooting monarch 55gr steel case that was keyholing at 25 yards, but it shot fine with other brands
