I prefer, like Xdm's 3.8, Glock 19 Size pistol sizes ( compact) for range use. Full Size, not really a fan of. A carry a P938, but thats too small. So I've had my eye on a HK P30sk, alot, but looks like I have seen a VP9 in the same size, what model do I lean towards?
    thoughts?
I used to be a huge Glock shooter, only had Glocks and one old 1911 for decades... then I re-discovered HK. I had bought a USP45 when they were first imported, but a moving company slug stole it when my back was turned.. my bad for not properly securing it. :(

    At any rate..

I have the VP40 (same.. but different...) and it's one of my favorite guns by far... and I have a small variety of plastic and metal guns. I would shoot it a lot more if it was in 9mm, but I like it enough I'm looking at converting it or just getting another VP9.

The one thing about the VP, is the odd location of the mag release under the trigger guard... *BUT* HK is (or is going to) release a VP9 with the "standard" mag release button.

Wasn't the mag release for your USP the same?

Probably.. been a long time since I saw that USP. :/ It was the 2nd handgun I ever bought, and didn't think much of any difference between it and the 1911 I had, I probably figured every gun was very different.

It is. I haven't encountered an HK yet that doesn't have a trigger guard release. Also, there is no backstrap safety with the HK. The two I have in holsters, I have cocked and locked in a holster. In that regard the one's with the hammer are similar.
