I am excited to be taking my first handgun training course and it will be with the Sig Sauer Academy in October here in Texas. I have been shooting handguns for years, but have never taken any formal training. I do have traning from the Army, but I consider that poor at best.

I am attending the Handgun102 course on 11OCt2018. If anyone here is attending I look forward to spending the day with you!

For those of you that attend training on a regular basis, what advice do you have for me? Things to bring, not to bring......

Never heard of it (the ranch) but that is quite a facility. If I read the web site correctly, there are no slots available in any of the 4 handgun courses at this time.

I didn't see an option to pick 10-11-18. I see one for the 10th that I understand to be filled. If I'm reading the specs correctly the tuition covers a loaner pistol. All of mine are micro.

I think all course may be full at this point. Alos, you are correct, Sig will provide a handgun and gear if needed.

I just called the Academy and was told that the classes' status was in real time and that I should just keep checking the website and that maybe I'd get lucky and discover there was an opening. Said they kept no paper wait list. Darn.

open mind, spare firearm just incase, and the biggest one, train like you fight.....meaning don't be showing up in K -vest etc unless that is how you roll.
    above all have fun

*****Hopefully Sig will bring Kyle lamb, Mike Pannone etc over to that range in Texas. Way closer than going to NH.****
