Americans Have Bought More Guns In the Past Two Months Than Our Military Has On Hand
May was another solid month in gun sales, with over two millionbackground checks being run according to the FBI. Yet, Stephen Gutowski of The Washington Free Beacon also touched upon the Small Arms Survey, which showed that Americans own 393 million of the one billion-plus firearms in worldwide circulation. So, while we’re not the majority owner of all guns worldwide, Gutowski broke down some interesting aspects of this report. First, that in the last two months alone, Americans have bought more guns that our entirely military has on hand, and that Americans bought more guns in 2017 than every police agency in the world did combined:
...American civilians own nearly 100 times as many firearms as the U.S. military and nearly 400 times as many as law enforcement.
Federal Bureau of Investigation background check records suggest that civilians bought more than 2 million guns in May alone, which means civilians purchase more than double the number of firearms owned by police departments. The number of gun-related civilian background checks in May and April, at over 4.7 million, is greater than the number of firearms currently owned by the American military.
The FBI reported processing more than 25.2 million gun-related civilian background checks in 2017, which is more than the 22.7 million guns the Small Arms Survey estimates are currently held by every law enforcement agency in the world combined. Between 2012 and 2017, the FBI reported conducting more than 135 million civilian gun checks—more than the 133 million guns the Small Arms Survey estimates are in all the world's military stockpiles.

The REAL question is WHY???
Here is my take. Collectively gun owners are a more conservative lot and a bit more tuned into politics and the news that might affect them.
The 60's was the time of the liberal movement. Drug use skyrocketed, 'if it feels good do it' was the mantra and the wedge issue was the war in Vietnam with its associated draft. And, that is where the left made its mistake, by hanging their hat on the draft, when the govt responded by removing the draft the movement died, but today they are far smarter and they are on the attack like never before in the history of America. They also intend on winning!
More guns are being sold that even Obama imagined and IMO the "WHY" is what we are seeing in America today. We are closer to Civil War than we were in 1862.
Here are a few things they we as group either KNOW or suspect.
IF the Dems win in the Nov elections and cap it off with a POTUS in 2020, we and America is in DEEP KIMCHI!
Gun control will arrive with both of its feet jumping in.
SCOTUS will see several retirements and it will be taken over by the far extreme left.
1st/2nd Amend gone, so will most of the BoR.
Govt will grow and be so out of control most of us will not know our own country.
Open borders will lead to the loss of our national sovereignty.
If you are in America at voting time you can vote and we know were the 25-30 MILLION illegals will vote for.
OD's will become the number one killer in the US with its new and open feel good society.
We ill be CRUSHED by City, State and Federal taxes to support our illegal population that will swell to over 50 million and they will become the NEW Federally Protected Class of people with the same rights as citizens and will go to the head of the line just like the other minorities do.
The Feds KNOW who we are, they know we have guns and have the paperwork to prove it.
The purge will begin and if you are gun owner, conservative, Right to Life and have ANY religious leanings or believe in a higher power than the Govt they are coming for you!
What I KNOW: The far left has not hesitation in killing us and covering it up if needed (Waco, Ruby Ridge, Benghazi). Our military will be reduced to pre WWI levels.
Examples will be made out of many of us. Got guns you will be Wacoed, got religion and run a business you will shut down.
MS 13 will rule in all the Major US cities and become a shadow govt of the left ruling the streets and doing the bidding of the Feds who will be protecting them. Need some Righty-Whitey killed, MS 13 will do it.
If the left takes the WH in 2020 and has Congress to we will never see another conservative in the WH in most of your lives.
Socialism will be the economics of our country till the money runs dry...
