Just to frame this properly; this is my first actual new vehicle... Before this, my "newest" car was already 5 years old when I bought it, and before that I refused to pay more than $1000 for any vehicle. My previous truck was a '98 C1500 that had 250k miles on it, lol... I've always driven fun beaters, so this is kind of a big deal for me.
So here she is: 2013 Toyota Tundra Texas edition
She's big... Technically a 1/2 ton truck, but really I would put her closer to the 3/4 ton class. My old C1500 looks small compared to it. I really thought I was going to buy a F150, but after I test drove the Tundra it was no contest. The power and handling is impressive for a vehicle of this size. Oh, and if anyone wants to poo-poo it for being a Jap truck, it's made in TX which is more than I can say for that NAFTA-truck Chevy I had before
I'm not sure if I got an amazing deal on it or anything, but they did offer me a really low interest rate and best of all they gave me $1750 on my old Chevy. I bought it for $500 and only spent about $150 on it in the few years that I owned it, lol...
