    Spcw,

Taurus had and deservedly so a terrible quality control product for their firearms...in the not too distant past.

Now, they make a 'solid/good' (not HK/Colt/Browning etc., quality, but pretty damn good quality for budget cost) pistols...

The GC3 and the GX4 are in my rotation with nary a hiccup, in fact none, after 800+ rounds (each gun) with a different grain and brand ammo.

In my opinion, this is good quality/reliability.

I love quad rails. Much more foolproof than mlok or keymod. Much stronger, and no worries about gas blocks or other protrusions contacting the handguard. They also do a bit better handling heat

Never had issues with Mlok or KeyMod. The quad rail is more simplified, but I appreciate the cleaner barrel guard while complaining of having to buy an extra adapter for my hunting lights. I like that my bipod has a much cleaner fit and mount using the Mlok mount.

As someone who deployed with an M16 and no other way to attack a comfortable sling, those were a lifesaver.

They make sense if you can't use anything other than that or an m1 style web sling, but man you can make a far superior sling out of a few inches of paracord and a general purpose strap

    The military uses Pmags?

Like you wouldn’t believe. I can’t think of a deployment where I had an M4 and didn’t have Pmags.

That little monopod was was popular way stow and M4 in the DFAC or under your cot at the short barrels were just a little to short to use the legs of the cot as a rifle rack. With the monopod, you just shoved the but in the X of a cot leg and let it do it’s thing. That also gave you a bit more room to store other shit under there, too.

I hated the morons that used it in the DFAC. Don’t care if the fucking thing is cleared, I hate having a rifle pointing at you.

It's more of an issue with mlok. Keymod for all it's faults is actually probably the best as far as not interfering with things inside the handguard.

I believe Mlok was found to be slightly more secure and repeatable during testing for gov use. I think I did have one adapter I had to move back an inch or so to clear a gas block but I’d have to look. And don’t remember if it was KeyMod or Mlok.

I haven’t got much preference. The ones I have either came on the rifle or came to me through trades. For pure durability though, I will agree that rails machined in to the hand guard will offer the best durability. Not sure if the attachment would survive when it gets to a point that it matter. Biggest factor for me is just overall comfort.

Mlok is far superior to keymod for strength. I can't speak to repeatability though. Anything that needs to be zeroed beed to be on a pic rail
