I paid off the 2019 Ford Ranger last night. It's a good feeling to look at the Ford Credit Account and see a balance of $0.
In the past I took the amount of the former payments and saved it for future repairs or a new vehicle. However the change to EVs doesn't appeal to me. I hope my current vehicles will last as long as I'm able to drive.

Anyone have rock/bug deflectors? Useful or cosmetic? I've had one chipped windshield my entire life.
I have had 2 of them broken by flying rocks through the years, so they definitely catch some stuff. But I can’t say those vehicles went through any less windshield changes.

Changed the taillights for some with more character. Because this car doesn't have enough character.

Got the truck out of the shop.
16 new spark plugs, compression check (strong like bull)
New serpentine belt (was also factory installed) and throttle body cleaning.
I'm out about 2/3 of what I figured to spend.

I can definitely tell the difference in performance.
    I hope fuel economy improves.

That reminds me…I need to clean the intake tracts out of our trucks, thanks to damned direct injection.

As soon as the warranty is up in the suburban, I’ll put an oil catch-can on it.

    On the bike:
    - new rear pads; fronts are bueno
    - purge / bleed brake lines
    - rear reservoir was bone dry :fuse:added fluid before pumping and air burped out the reservoir
    - haven't ridden it yet but didn't notice a difference in pedal feel after the work

My bike makes a humming sound but only when leaning; it's clearly a rotational / load issue. Thanks to a bike specific discussion elsewhere, I'm convinced my front wheel bearings are the source but finding them sumbitches, at a reasonable price? Oy vey!

Mrs Pronstar isn’t happy with the wallowy ride of her Suburban . . .
    FLASHback!

Family vaca, in the '70s? Dad needs a rest from driving and is laying in the back seat of the station wagon while Mom tows a 16', severely overloaded Shasta thru AZ IIRC. Damn trailer is waggin' all over the place so bad it threw our bikes off the trailer bumper rack. May have been the same event when an electrical fire kept Dad from sleeping cuz his feet were hot.

IDK, they all run together at my age.
